Nose Pierre Montale, who opened his namesake perfume house in 2003, frequently uses rose in his fragrances. He thinks it invokes the essence of oriental gardens. After previously creating scents for Saudi Arabian royalty, this perfumer aims to bring the scents of Asia and the Middle East to the Western part of the world. He thus collects his roses from places such as India, Bulgaria, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, though he takes some from his native France, as well. He similarly uses other raw materials from around the world to create his unique scents. He picks only the best ingredients for his high-quality, alluring perfumes.
