Pure Havane by Thierry Mugler, Angel Pure Havane by Thierry Mugler is a men’s cologne that was introduced in 2011. Crafted with perfumer Jacques Huclier, the fragrance combines gourmand scents evocative of the tobacco flavorings from the finest Cuban cigars. The result is a robust and masculine scent. The top notes are comprised of rich and warm tobacco and sweet white honey. Earthy and exotic patchouli, cozy and comforting vanilla and bitter cacao combine to form the fragrance’s heart. The cologne is balanced with base notes of leathery and oriental-tinged French labdanum, warm amber and styrax.
Thierry Mugler is a French fashion designer widely known for his power fashions of the 1980s. This creative style is distinguished by futuristic shapes and often include fantasy elements. The designer is often credited with creating the trend for gourmand fragrances with sweet and foodie notes in the 1990s. He launched his first scent, Angel, in 1992 and it was an instant hit. He grew to be hugely influential on the fragrance industry throughout that decade and beyond.
