Jaguar Cars Limited began in 1922 as a manufacturer of motorcycle side cars under the name Swallow Sidecar Company. The founders, William Lyons and William Walmsley, worked together until 1934 when Walmsley sold his share of the business. The first car to bear the company name hit the market in 1935. Over the years, the business underwent several mergers and changes of ownership, and today it is owned by Tata motors. The company created its first fragrance for men in 1988, and a scent for women followed in 1993.
