Yardley Gentleman Urbane by Yardley London, First released in 2017, Yardley Gentleman Urbane by British cosmetics and fragrance brand Yardley of London is an invigorating and classic fougere-aromatic-woody blend that is at once contemporary and traditional.
The opening notes are a bright citrus and floral fusion of piquant, sweet-smelling Italian bergamot and lavender. This brisk, refreshing introduction develops into a spicy herbal heart of thyme, tarragon and a hint of leather. The dry down is rich, satisfying and distinctly masculine, settling into a lingering finish of soft, balsamic-sweet sandalwood, earthy patchouli and musk. Dynamic without being overpowering, Yardley Gentleman Urbane is an excellent daily fragrance, and is suitable for year-round wear.
Yardley of London was founded in 1770, and is one of the oldest cosmetics brands in the world. Today the company continues to produce fine soaps, perfumes, talcum powders and skin and hair care products. House fragrances were created in collaboration with perfumers Christian Provenzano, Ann Gottlieb, Dominique Ropion, Nelly Hachem-Ruiz, Pierre Kurzenne, Juliette Karagueuzoglou and Anne-Sophie Chapuis.
