Its composition has top notes of star anise and black currant. The middle portion consists of pepper and galanga. The base brings bourbon vanilla, atlas cedar and tolu balsum into the profile.
Although Yves Saint Laurent is mostly known for its contributions to the fashion industry, the company has also released nearly 200 fragrances since the 1960s. Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent is the founder of the organization, and his career in the industry began when he was only 17 years old. During this time, he worked as Christian Dior’s assistant. Later on in his career, he would become known for his superbly-tailored women’s suits.
